Bricks and Mortar Wins the Old Forester Turf Classic 

Bricks and Mortar was in the back of the pack around the first turn and in traffic on turning for home. He  was able to overcame plenty to win the Old Forester Turf Classic.

The Turf Classic appeared as if an upset would occur as the field turned for home, with Markitoff leading Clyde’s Image through some moderate fractions.

Qurbaan took his turn at the lead before Bricks and Mortar moved to the lead near the wire. The running time was 1:51.80. Bricks and Mortar had six horses to pass with a quarter mile to go. On his way to a narrow score, he bumped with March to the Arch, then led to another Ortiz Jr. fist bump as the passed the wire.

It was the fourth straight win for Bricks and Mortar, who also won the Pegasus World Cup Turf (G1) earlier this season.
