King Edward Stakes is a Grade II for three -year-old and up colts and geldings at 1 mile on turf. Purse $175,000. Permian won the 2017 King Edward Stakes.

Delta Prince settled in behind the leaders going the back stretch. He was able to catch Shakhimat around the 3/16 pole. He went onto win by 1 3/4 lengths. The King Edward Stakes was Delta Prince’s first start in 2018.
