Platinum Warrior Wins the San Marcos Stakes, GIIT, at Santa Anita

The Grade II, $200,000 San Marcos Stakes attracted 13 older horses who will compete at a mile and one quarter on turf. Originally scheduled to be run this past Saturday, the San Marcos was shifted to this Saturday due to last weekend’s heavy rains.

The entries include: Chicago Style the Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes (G2T) winner, Flamboyant a three-time graded winner, Beach View the Cougar II Handicap (G3) winner, and India Mantuana the Red Carpet Handicap (G3T) winner. Then adding the unknown variables such as Sejo, Dabster and Roman Rosso to the field makes for an interesting race.

Race 9. San Marcos Stakes, GIIT. For four-year-old and up at 1 1/4 miles on turf. Purse $200,000.
