Poet’s Word Wins the King George

Poet’s Word  earned a berth in the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf (Grade I) by winning the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (Grade I) at Ascot.

He was able to out run Crystal Ocean by a neck. The first two finishers are trained by Michael Stoute.

Poet’s Word secured the lead near the wire. Coronet finished third about nine lengths behind Crystal Ocean.
