Results for Stakes Races at Saratoga on July 11.

Opening day at Saratoga Race Course is Thursday, July 11. The opening day card will host to two stakes races:  the Quick Call Stakes (G3T) and the Schuylerville Stake (G3). The Schuylerville Stakes, Race 8, has nine two-year-old fillies entered for the 6 furlong dash on the dirt. The Quick Call Stakes, Race 9, has eleven 3-year-olds entered for the 5 1/2-furlong sprint on the turf.

Entries and Our Picks for the Quick Call Stakes (G3T) 

Inaugurated in 2008, the Quick Call was named after the multiple graded stakes winning gelding who won more than half his 16 career victories at the Spa. Trained by Sid Watters, Jr. and Warren Croll, Quick Call finished fifth in the Saratoga Special in 1986, and went on to win nine races there each year from 1987-1990 including the Forego in 1988 and 1989.  He retired in 1992. World Trouble won the 2018 version.
