Race 7. Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes, Grade II. For three- year-old fillies and up at 6 furlongs. Purse $250,000.

The Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes is a Breeders’ Cup “ Win and You’re In” race for the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.

Happy Like a Fool won her last race the May 18 Adena Springs Miss Preakness Stakes (Grade III) at Pimlico on May 18. This will be her third start this year. She finished fourth in the Beaumont Stakes,( Grade III).  She has been training at Keenland for over a month in preparation of the Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes.

Miss Sunset enters off a win in the C.E.R.F. Stakes at Del Mar. She has raced six times in 2018.Her 2018 record is 3-2-1. She ran second in the Madison Stakes,( Grade I), at Keeneland on April 7. She ran second in her other race at Keenland, which was the 2017 Lexus Raven Run Stakes,(Grade II).

Curlin’s Approval is a multiple graded stakes winner. However, she has never won at Keeneland. She won her last race the Sugarloaf Key Handicap at Gulfstream Park on August 18.


Chalon has started only three time in 2018. She won the Regret Stakes at Monmouth on June 17. Her 2018 record for three starts is 2-1-0.

Vertical Oak won the Open Mind Stakes at Churchill on August 15. Her other win in 2018 was the Skipat Stakes,(Grade I), at Pimlico on May 18. Her 2018 record for five starts is 2-1-2.

Torrent has placed in multiple graded stakes. She ran sixth in her last race the Groupie Doll Stakes,( Grade III), at Ellis Park on August 12. Her only win in 2018 was an Allowance Optional Claiming race at Oaklawn on January 26.

Golden Mischief has won her past two starts. Her most recent victory was the West Virginia Secretary of State Stakes at Mountaineer on  August 4. Her prior win was in the Saylorville Stakes at Prairie Meadows on July 5.
