THE PEGASUS WORLD CUP

Pegasus World Cup Championship series is a nine race series that offers over $16 million in purses. The Pegasus World Cup Championship Turf Invitational and Pegasus World Cup Invitational are the two richest stake races on dirt and turf in North America.

The nine Pegasus World Cup Championship races are:

South Beach a race for four-year-old and up fillies and mares at 7 1/2 furlongs on turf. Purse $125,000.  

Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint a race for four-year-old and up at 5 furlongs on turf. Purse $150,000.

Ladies Turf Sprint a race for four-year-old and up fillies and mares at 5 furlongs on turf. Purse $150,000.

Hurricane Bertie a Grade III stake race for four-year-old and up fillies and mares at 7 furlongs on dirt. Purse $150,000.

La Prevoyante Handicap a Grade III stake race for four-year-old and up fillies and mares at 1 1/2 miles on turf. Purse $200,000.

W.L. McKnight Handicap a Grade III stake race for four-year-old and up at 1 1/2 miles on turf. Purse $200,000.

Fred Hopper a Grade III stake race for four-year-old and up at 1 mile on dirt. Purse $150,000.

Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational a Grade I for three-year-old and up at 1 3/16 miles on turf. Purse $7,000,000.

Pegasus World Cup Invitational a Grade I for three-year-old and up at 1 1/8 miles on dirt. Purse $9,000,000.
